Everyone Regrets is a stripped-down version of Jahn Teigen's album Klar dag / Instamatik (1982). Show and splendor are removed, so that the lyrics are allowed to shine alone and reinforce Teigen's powerful directness - both loving, critical and bitter. In their work with the album, Morten and Marie asked themselves whether we, as a nation, have been too preoccupied with Teigen's showmanship and vocal splendor.

Jahn Teigen is considered a legend within the Norwegian entertainment industry. Since the 1970s he has released more than 40 albums, 60 singles, and has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest more than anyone else.
